Nepal is an incredible Himalayan country and blessed with the snow capped mountains, beautiful landscape, diverse culture and tradition and wildlife. Trekking can be undertaken throughout the year but Autumn and Spring seasons are the best seasons to have the unique experience of hiking experience in the Himalayas of Nepal. Winter Season in Nepal is not favorable for trekking to higher elevations as there is heavy snowfall and chill cold weather. You can go trekking to low altitude ie generally below 3000 meters. The guest house in the Himalayan area remain closed during the winter season and you will get better accommodation and food if you go on higher altitude trekking. You might encounter snowfall throughout the trekking trail and during night time temperature goes down to minus 10 or even more in some areas.
