A tremendous 7.8 magnitude earthquake hit Nepal last year on April 25 killing about 9,000 people and about 23,000 people got injured and many became homeless with the entire villages flattened across many districts of the country. Two months later, Nepal Tourism Board reopened the heritage sites in Kathmandu and later on all the trekking routes were reopened except Langtang region. One year later, Nepal is slowly recovering and for full recover, it needs foreign trekker to return.
