The tourism of Nepal was on its flow before April 25 2015. But after the massive 7.8 magnitude earthquake on 25 April and 12 may 2015, many things changed and swept away with the natural calamity. After the earthquake, the tourism industry regularly beared a major problem and became zero with no tourists visiting Nepal. The tourism industry has been hit hard by the earthquake. Many people lost their homes, friends, families and relatives.
Everything was accepted as it is the natural and the tourism professionals were planning to welcome the guests as the peak season was coming on September. Few tourist visit Nepal as compared to the past years in the biggest touristic season i.e. Autumn season (September-October-November) but as the New Constitution got prolonged, Nepali tourism faced the scarcity of petroleum products and the Indian blockade directly affect the industry.
Now after the 8 months after the earthquake and 3 months long Indian blockade, trekking and travel agencies are hoping for tourism back by the spring season 2016.
